INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW BOARD (IRB)
The Institutional Review Board (IRB) reviews and approves all research involving human subjects to ensure that it is conducted in accordance with all federal, institutional, and ethical guidelines. If the research involves faculty, staff, and/or students, this research may also need approval of the Internal Research Review Board (IRRB).
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- All research proposals must be submitted to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for approval. Proposals should include consent forms in the specified language as per the study’s requirements.
- Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
- Obtain the application form from the research room, complete it, and submit it back to the same location. A checklist outlining proposal requirements is available in the research room and has been distributed via email for compliance.
- Each student’s proposal or thesis will be assigned a unique proposal ID number on the application form.
- Students are required to present their proposals.
- When resubmitting proposals after corrections, students should reference the ID number along with the correction number (e.g., 01, 01-1, 01-2, 01-3).
- Corrections or approvals will be provided within five days of submission.
- Committee members rotate every two years.
